The Jeanne Sauvé Foundation is proud to announce that it is accepting applications to its new 2015-17 Jeanne Sauvé Public Leadership Program.

Applications will be considered starting Tuesday 1 July 2014. The deadline for submission of completed Applications is MIDNIGHT ET Monday, 1 September 2014.

A guiding principle of the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation (JSF) is that public leadership is an essential mechanism for positive social change and at the heart of Jeanne Sauvé’s vision for Canada and the world.
With this in mind, and in the wake of the undeniable ten-year success of the Sauvé Scholars Program, the Foundation has narrowed its mandate from supporting ‘leadership’ (in general) to supporting ‘public leadership’ in particular.
For the purposes of the Program, public leadership is defined broadly, as leadership in the public sphere and/or in the public interest.

The Jeanne Sauvé Public Leadership Program is a unique fellowship opportunity:

Year One (2015-2016) consists in a full-time intensive residential phase in Montreal for the entire group of a dozen Fellows. Together, they will design and undertake a facilitated project that culminates in a series of public engagement activities addressing the challenge of strengthening culturally diverse societies through public leadership.
In Year Two (2016-2017), the Fellows return to their respective communities, countries or elsewhere, to  continue on their public leadership journeys, either through continued work or study.
In August of 2017 the Fellows will return to Montreal for a comprehensive review session which will overlap with the arrival of a new cohort of program participants.
