Sandra is from Lima, Peru, where she obtained her BS in Communications from the Catholic University, specializing in Communications for Development. She has worked at the Institute of Law Defense, the most important NGO in the country in Human Rights. She traveled throughout Peru to the poorest communities in the highlands, worked with community leaders, and produced articles for all the NGO’s in the Human Rights Network.

Sandra then worked with UNICEF pre-testing diffusion materials and undertaking the design and management of surveys, interviews and focus groups with stakeholders. She was a member of the “Ideelradio” team that produced two weekly micro-radial programs on politics and the electoral process in native languages in over one hundred stations of the most remote areas of Peru. In a project sponsored by CARE and the Ministry of Health, “Nourishing Security and Management of Local Development”, she was a consultant on communications strategies and the management of focus groups. She then created the design and pre-test of the communications bulletins for Oxfam and six other NGO’s.
