The Jeanne Sauvé Foundation is pleased to invite you to attend Manish Thapa’s talk on Internal Conflicts and Peacebuilding Challenges, presented as part of the “Sauvé Fellows Thought Leadership Series” taking place at Jeanne Sauvé House from January to April 2017.

On Thursday, April 13, 2017 (from 5:30-7:30 pm), join Sauvé Fellow Manish Thapa as he examines post-conflict peacebuilding efforts as well as the challenges of building sustainable peace processes in societies recently destabilized by internal armed conflicts, drawing on the example of the Maoists Insurgency in Nepal.

This presentation will be based on Manish’s recently edited book “Internal Conflicts and Peacebuilding Challenges” which explores issues in post-conflict peace building efforts such as democratization, governance and reconciliation.

Manish Thapa is a Resident Professor of International Peace Studies and Head of Department of Peace & Conflict Studies at the United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica. He is Visiting Professor at Institute of International Relations (IIR) at University of Warsaw.
