Adam Sharon

Adam is currently (2017) the Managing Director of Prime Strategies in Washington, D.C. He is a premier communicator and media strategist specializing in the intersection of public affairs, foreign policy, U.S. Politics, and Capitol Hill. He was previously an adjunct lecturer at American University teaching in the Foreign Policy track of the Washington Semester program.

Following his participation in the Sauvé Scholar Program, Adam returned to Washington, DC and continued working in journalism. He covered the 2004 U.S. presidential campaign, including the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, presidential debates and inauguration for Talk Radio News Service. In 2005, he produced “White House Chronicle” for PBS. Adam was responsible for the show’s production and all business facets of the show. While working in radio and television, Adam wrote book reviews for The Jerusalem Post newspaper.

In 2006, Adam began working as a press secretary for Congressman Kendrick B. Meek, a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means. In 2008, Adam became Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Congressman Meek.

In 2006, Adam traveled to Germany and Belgium to participate as a Fellow in the annual Manfred Wörner Seminar where 30 young Americans and Germans meet to examine security policy and discuss security interests. In May 2008, he joined a delegation of U.S. Congressional staff members on a seven-day trip to South Korea, including a one-day visit to North Korea.

Since 2012, Adam was engaged in every major foreign policy issue before the Congress, to include Iran sanctions legislation, the Authorization for the Use of Military Force in Syria, and the reauthorization of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. He has worked closely on these and other issues with Democratic and Republican offices on Capitol Hill, as well as with the Administration, international organizations, foreign governments, non-governmental organizations, and think tank community.

Adam led a seminar on the 2004 U.S. presidential elections and hosted a fellow Scholar during the 2004 Democratic Primary in New Hampshire, introducing him to presidential politics. Adam engaged in many dialogues with his peers about U.S. politics and the scholarship experience further helped Adam focus his career path on working professionally within the U.S. political and legislative system.
