2015-17 Sauvé Fellow Sabrina Sassi recently spoke eloquently at TEDxMontrealWomen about the need to invest in empathy.

She speaks about the importance of building communities to prevent violent extremism and emphasizes that marginalization isn’t just dangerous for those that are isolated, but that it is dangerous for us all, regardless of who we are. By raising the standards from tolerance to empathy and standing up for one another, she argues, we can build robust bridges between communities and counter this danger.
